Yes, I'm still alive. Sorry I haven't been around. I'm EXTREMELY behind on reading my friends page and it may take me a while to catch up. My computer at home is sick and needs a doctor and work has been extremely busy since Tara was out on vacation all last week and I was helping to cover for her. What little time I have had available I just haven't felt like getting on LJ. Guess I'm a little anti-social right now. Hopefully I will find time for an update of some substance soon.

Let's see... Well, 4th of July was uneventful. In the past we have gone out to my Aunt's and watched the fire works over Gull Lake from her neighbor's lawn across the street. But with Uncle Al's terminal brain cancer this year that just wasn't happening. Rick and I set a few fire works off in the driveway which was pretty fun. He got some pretty large ones, but nothing too large and nothing illegal - which in Michigan means nothing can leave the ground. He thinks I had an anal childhood because I told him that all we usually got to do at Grandma's cabin was light sparklers and then we HAD to have a metal bucket full of water to put them in after they burned out. *laughs* I suppose I *DID* have an anal childhood - but only severely so when I was at Grandma Nichols - she's a little uptight at times.
