Okay, so apparently my brother gets back TOMORROW night...Tuesday, Thursday...they're close right? Anyway...guess he has like a 8 hour layover in the United Arab Emirates. Still, he shall be back from Nepal shortly and starts his new job on Monday in Delton.

Spoke to my mom tonight and apparently my uncle is doing a little better. Of course a little better just means he's not going to die anytime really soon...most people with this type of brain cancer don't live much longer than 6 months. He's starting to regain some strength and lucidity after the massive chemo they gave him and is acting more like himself. He is still in the hospital in Ypsilanti but they're talking about moving him into the rehab unit or some such thing. They wanted to move him into a hospice care facility but he outright refused...said that was giving up and he wasn't giving up yet.

The first daffodil in our garden is in bloom. Spring must be on the way. I love daffodils...they're not my favorite color, shape, or fragrance, but they're one of the first signs of spring and they remind me of my childhood because mom has a bunch of them growing along the creek in the back yard. We always used to take bouquets of daffodils to our teachers in the spring time when we were growing up. I love that creek...it was one of my favorite playmates growing up. *sigh* Happy memories.

I am so blissfully happy right now I'm almost in tears. I can't explain it. There is really no reason for me to feel so up right now...then again there is no reason for me not to either. I have quite a bit of stress in my life right now and I've definitely been emotionally all over the place for a while now. I like the highs...could do without the lows...but then would I appreciate the highs?

I changed my CDs in my car yesterday. I have one of those visor thingys that holds 10 and every so often I need to change my selection because I've become bored with what I'm listening to. Apparently I'm in quite a Sixpence None the Richer mood since 4 of the 10 CDs I put in yesterday were by them. I was in Mexico when they "hit it big" in 1998...they had put our their 3rd LP before I left and I happily snapped it up and took it with me when I left in September. When I got back to the U.S. that December one of the songs off that CD came on the radio. I was thinking...hmm, I didn't think I was listening to a Christian radio station...I double checked and I wasn't. So the moral of the story is...when you go out of the country stuff happens while you're gone. :) Not sure why I just shared that memory. Possibly it's time for bed and I'm just rambling at this pint...er, point...honestly there is no alcohol involved here, just a slip of the finger there. Typerying is beocming exteremoly difficolt at this point...must be time for ged...er, bed. Night night! :)
