I really am not horribly politically minded but I do know this. Teresa Heinz Kerry is an idiot and Kerry's campaign should just gag her until after the election. I can't believe she was stupid enough to say that she wasn't sure if Laura Bush had ever held a "real job". First of all, why isn't being a mother a "real job" because that is A LOT of hard work PLUS you don't get paid for it. Secondly, Laura worked for about a decade as a teacher and librarian. Regardless of how you feel about George W. I think most people would agree that Laura is one classy lady so it seems rather asinine to attack her at all when there is plenty to attack her husband on. I really think that Teresa is going to loose this election for her husband. I'm all for strong, opinionated women. What I'm not for is women who think that their opinion is the only option for all women. If you want to work outside the home and be successful in the worlds eyes fine. Just don't tell me that because I want to stay home and raise my own children that I'm somehow less of a feminist than you. Maybe you should be asking why our society has relegated the "women's work" of raising children to such a lowly status when it should be one of our top priorities since children are one of our most precious resources. /rant
