Jun. 8th, 2004 08:26 pmBleck it's hot here today. I hate the heat - I'd rather be cold. Thank goodness for air conditioning. Now if only we could invent personal air conditioning units that create a bubble of cool air around you for that walk from my office building to the parking lot around the corner and down the alley. :0)
Work has been steady lately, not too much, not too little - kind of nice for a change since it normally seems to be one or the other where I work.
Last week my brother brought me 4 old Star Trek novels his library (he's the director of the public library in Delton, MI) was discarding. I actually don't think I've read any of them. They're all TOS and I think I read many more of the TNG novels...though even there I stopped somewhere in the #40s. It just got to be too much. It was nice of my brother to think of me.
Got home tonight and
_blackhawk_ had dinner ready. That is ALWAYS nice. :) Doing some laundry and just relaxing this evening. Did pop by the local branch of the public library earlier and pick up a couple of movies. I love free movies! The Adventures of Baron Munchausen - which I have never heard of (probably due to the fact that I was only in Jr. High when it came out), but I'll give anything co-written and directed by Terry Gilliam a shot. Also picked up Sea Biscuit. Wasn't something I wanted to spend money to rent even though everyone keeps telling me what a great movie it is. I just fail to see how it can be that interesting of a story...still, perhaps I will be pleasantly surprised. And if not, I'm not out any money - well, as long as I remember to return it on time and avoid library fines. :) Neither are anything
_blackhawk_ wants to see so I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to watch them.
