Apr. 12th, 2004 12:22 pmWell, Easter was lovely. Mostly uneventful, but lovely. I was barely awake for the Sunrise service, but what I remember of it was nice. :-) My voice did okay - but it's really not used to being used like that quite that early in the morning. The 10:45 service rocked! And in between services I had a lovely Monty Python discussion with about half the worship team. For the life of me I can't remember exactly how we got on that topic, but it I laughed A LOT. Especially when the worship leader shared his memory of bringing home The Meaning of Life when he was younger to watch at home. Apparently his mother walked into the room during the protestants having their discussion regarding condoms and forbid him to ever bring that stuff into the house again. lol Actually, considering some of the other stuff in that movie, it could have been much worse. The sex education scene comes to mind. And now for something completely different....
I just got Chinese food in my hair. Great - now I'll walk around smelling like Chicken Lo Mein for the rest of the day. :) That really hit the spot though - been a while since I've had Chinese.
Hmm...other random things: We have a leak into our basement we discovered last night. Oh joy! Fortunately almost everything down there is stored in plastic totes to keep the cat out of stuff anyways so nothing was ruined.
_blackhawk_ says that it is something that he can fix so fortunately it will not cost us much. Then this morning his truck would not start and he had to take my car to work. I had to skip exercising so I could get ready in time to catch the bus. Yay for public transportation! Pretty sure that it is just a battery issue since sometimes his dome light doesn't go off like it should. But it is another inconvenience - and possibly another bill if we can't jump it. And things WERE going so well for a while. :-) It's always something - I'm learning to live with that.
I watched the Nick & Jessica Variety Hour last night. Now, I'm not a fan of either of them and I haven't seen their Newlywed Show on cable because I don't have cable, but the variety show was freaking hilarious. No, really! Nick did a duet with Kit from Knight Rider...no, I am NOT kidding. I honestly haven't laughed that hard in a while. They obviously don't take themselves TOO seriously.
Still reading? Okay then - here is an amusing anecdote. Last night while we were watching TV an ad for Coffee Mate came on. It said something like relationships need a little excitement just like Coffee needs Coffee Mate. So I jokingly said to
_blackhawk_ "that's what we need - a little excitement in our relationship" and he came back with "what, you want me to buy some Coffee Mate?" Okay, maybe you had to be there - but trust me it was hilarious. :)
