Just a few musings...

You know I remember a day when I would have been more likely to be still up at this time and just going to bed now rather than up and at work after a good night's sleep. I miss those days. College...the best 4 years of my life.

So anyways...I watched American Idol last night. I'm addicted, what can I say? I have a couple of thoughts on that:

1. Why the heck should it take 1 hour to reveal who got the last 4 spots in the top 12? This could easily be accompished in 30 minutes!

2. If we ran presidential elections this way do you think we'd have a greater percentage of voters participate? I don't necessarily mean make the candidates sing (although that could be amusing...or possibly quite painful). What I'm talking about is people could vote by phone...and people could vote as often as they want just like on American Idol. Only for the whole day of the election instead of just 2 hours. It would end up being more a matter of how dedicated people were to their candidate than how many people liked each candidate. It's not like the electoral college system makes a whole lot more sense anyways. :)

3. Jennifer Hudson freaks me out. It wasn't just that hideous pink dress she wore on Tuesday. She looked possessed when she was singing. Every time she tried to emote her eyebrows nearly popped off the top of her head. I was waiting for her head to spin all the way around. :)

4. Jon Peter Lewis is my favorite. Not because he's the best singer there, he isn't. He just freaking makes me laugh. He doesn't take life or himself too seriously. I need more laughter in my life.
