My right knee is just not happy with me. Could have been the more than 2 hour trek Rick, Dave and I took through Al Sabo nature preserve yesterday evening. My knee wasn't particularly happy with me after the first hour or so of that either. Didn't help that I had on dress boots instead of comfy walking shoes. Note to self, must keep extra pair of tennis shoes in car for just such situations - or at least remember to throw them in the car if there's any chance we might end up over at Dave & Dave's place.

I had weird - stranger than usual - dreams last night. Just some really bizarre stuff.

We're off to Ohio this afternoon for the weekend and a baby shower for Kendall & Nicole (Rick's nephew and his wife). On the one hand I'm positively dreading it, but on the other hand I'm looking forward to it. I may not get along very well with my mother-in-law, but I adore Rick's nieces and nephews.

The interview yesterday went well, I thought. They said I should hear back from them sometime today. They'd like someone to start on Monday apparently.

Moratorium on library books

I think I'm gonna have to place a moratorium on getting any more library books. I know I don't have nearly as many checked out as radiojedi or anything - but I'm also not working on a master's thesis. I've got 24 items checked our and another 11 on hold. Do you know how long it's going to take me to read through all of these? I think my eyes may have been bigger than my brain. :)

Edit - Okay, I broke the moratorium already...but just for 1 single, tiny little additional book. I'll be good from now on, I promise. ;)

Change of plans...

Apparently we are NOT going to Ohio for the weekend now. Rick is too depressed. He doesn't want to make the 6 hour drive down there to go to a party he just doesn't feel up to. Whatever.
